Ten Lakes To Call Your Own
Barrow Lake - Part of the Ryan Creek system that runs into the Slave River, Barrow Lake offers excellent walleye fishing and northern pike up to 11.5 kg (25 lbs). The cabin accommodates four guests and offers a scenic view overlooking the lake.
Burstall Lake - Your base camp for tremendous fishing is a six-person site located on a beautiful sandy beach. Fish for large northern pike and lake trout. A five minute boat ride and 100-yard walk gets you to No Name Lake and access to trophy pike and even larger lake trout.
Charles Lake (North and South Camps) - Enjoy rocky terrain, reefs, secluded coves, and clear cold water up to 114 feet in depth as you fish for northern pike, lake trout, lake whitefish and yellow perch. Approximately 40 km (25 miles) in length, the lake offers two camps to choose from. The cabin at the North Camp, only 8 km (5 miles) from the NWT border, is located on a granite island with a picturesque view of the lake and offers accommodation for up to eight people. The South Camp, located two hours away by boat, sleeps up to six guests.
Colin Lake - One of Alberta's best northern pike destination. Fish for northern pike in the 50-inch range, 9-14 kg (20-30 lbs) lake trout, and lake whitefish. The two cabins, which sleep six and two guests, are situated on the northeastern shore in a small cove with a sandy beach. As an added bonus, the cabins at Colin Lake offer hot showers and running water.
Cornwall Lake - This pristine lake provides up to six guests with great fishing for northern pike up to 18 kg (40 lbs), lake trout and lake whitefish. The cabin is located on the southern shore of a granite island.
Getting There
Fort McMurray is a vibrant northern city of 55,000 with several scheduled flights each day offered through Air Canada and WestJet. Flights may also be prearranged from Edmonton via Air Mikisew.
