Pintail Point, a recreational destination that is rapidly building a national reputation, is comprised of nearly 1800 acres situated at the headwaters of the Wye River. Also known as "the river of dreams", the Wye River is a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. Visitors to Pintail Point, whether novice or experienced, can take advantage of such recreational activities as sporting clays, an Orvis endorsed wingshooting lodge and preserve hunting for upland birds, wild duck and deer hunting or fishing in area waters.
Fishing can include either fresh or saltwater fly fishing or charter boat fishing for Maryland's feisty striped bass, fondly called "rockfish".
Our most exquisite charter venture is really making waves… The Duchess of Pintail , a 124’ custom built yacht. Elegant and stately, the Duchess of Pintail is Baltimore’s newest luxury yacht and is US Coast Guard Certified to carry up to 140 passengers. Amenities on board include a huge main dining salon, granite topped bar, atrium dance floor, grand staircase, richly appointed lounge, full service galley, flying bridge sundeck, private bridal quarters and four open air decks. Pintail Point encourages our guests to ride one of our bikes and enjoy the sights and sounds of Pintail Point and/or nearby Wye Island. You may want to stroll the nature trail along the Wye River, arrange for a tour of our working dairy farm, or observe our trained retrievers and Rocking Chairbird dogs in action. Perhaps you would prefer to arrange for a private or group fly casting or sporting clay lesson.
