Iowa Whitetail Deer and Turkey
J & B Outfitters offers some of the finest (archery only) Whitetail Deer and Turkey (archery or shotgun) hunting to be found in Iowa. We have over 800 acres of land that J & B Outfitters personally owns and manages for deer and turkey. With numerous mineral licks and food plots all across the property and the fact that this land has seen very limited hunting over the last 10 years, we have an abundance of trophy deer and turkey available for you. Unlike some of the other outfitters hunting ground, our land is all connected into one big area with all acres huntable. We are located in South Central Iowa in Clarke County 15 minutes from the town of Osceola.
Deer Hunts:
If you want a realistic opportunity at a Pope & Young class Whitetail then look no farther than J & B Outfitters. For the last 10 years we have been managing the property for trophy bucks. All deer hunts are semi-guided, archery only (no gun hunting has been allowed in this area) and are conducted from strategically placed tree stands throughout the property. We limit parties of hunters to no more than 4 at a time with a maximum number of hunters per season to 4. We are in DNR Zone 5
Pricing:
2001 season runs from October 1st-November 30st
-5 day hunt $1200.00 per person
-Trophy fee (buck only, no fee for doe) $1000.00
Turkey:
Turkeys are very numerous on the J & B property. With the average tom weighing 22 lbs. The largest tom taken was a whopping 28 pounder with an 11-inch beard. We have the eastern strain of Wild Turkey and many of our birds we find have multiple beards (one bird last season had 5 beards) with most beards ranging between 9 and 11 inches. Hunts may be guided or on your own with most hunts occurring in the early morning and late afternoon though you are welcome to hunt all day. The spring turkey season is from mid April to Mid May with 4 different seasons to choose from. Hunts are limited to one tom turkey per season per hunter, and licenses are available on a drawing basis, with the deadline in mid to late January. To apply, call Iowa DNR at 1-800-367-1188 7am-7pm M-F. We take no more than 4 hunters per season.

$375.00 Non-Guided/per person per season (depending on the season, can be 4-10 days)
$575.00 fully guided/per person, 5 day maximum
