Morrell's Big Paws Guide Post is located at the heart of Bear Country in Western Nova Scotia on beautiful Birch Lake. We specialize in Rifle, Archery and Black Powder hunts at there finest!
Bear and White Tailed Deer hunts are available and we also offer special guided Geese, Duck, Pheasant, Woodcock and Snow Shoe Rabbit Hound hunts that are an extra treat to enjoy while you visit us.
Our Prime Big Game hunting season begins in early September and runs HOT through early December.

Birch Lake, Nova Scotia is only about a two hour drive from the Halifax International Airport. Connecting Air Canada, Air Nova flights from Halifax to Yarmouth will put you a comfortable 45 minute drive from our warm and friendly camp. There you will be greeted by professional and knowledgeable hosts, who will do their best to make this a trip of a life time! Come packed for great Canadian adventure and ready for a trip you won't soon forget.
The Cook's at Morrell's are well versed in filling empty stomachs with tasty homemade treats and the excellent food is always ALL YOU CAN EAT! We also provide snacks during the evening.

SAFETY - OUR MOST IMPORTANT CALL
We place our sportsman's safety and enjoyment above all. We run an honest camp, following the game regulations and sportsmanship. The guides and staff are all fully trained in St. John Ambulance, First Aid and CPR courses annually. They were chosen for their friendliness, respect for the wildlife, they are well-seasoned outdoorsmen, who take pride in their hunting & fishing skills, not mentioning their hair-raising hunting tales and helpful tips.
